[long island, new york]
all the magnolias have bloomed and turned green and i feel like a real person again.
— for spring 2025, i was published in wildscape. literary journal issue 2! such a beautiful literary space.
also; my chapbook La Jardinera was officially accepted in the Querencia Press line up! there’s still not so much to say, very early stages. but i’m so grateful! i sent my chapbook last year, thought i was rejected, and this year i received my offer letter! i’m so happy about it. i have my roomate from college and dear friend, mello doing my cover art because there’s no one else i would want to do it more. i have so many ideas, maybe doing little reading and mini tours in new york or east coast. main inspiration is the song la jardinera by violeta parra.
i have a mini project i’m working on too, more on the eco/nature poetry side.
i will also be attending the nyc poetry festival this year! if you’re in the nyc area let me know if you’d wanna meet up and pet my dog.

in fifth wheel press news, we just finished reading submissions for brainrot, our latest digital anthology. reading for this theme was so much fun, i’m looking forward to seeing it go live on the website soon.
—
also, i wanted to share part of a faux press release i wrote for my publicity course! i just think it’s neat and i love gaga.

[film, music and media] on my mind:

smoke signals dir. chris eyre [1998]
seeing rauw alejandro’s cosa nuestra tour in barclays next week
joy harjo’s weaving sundown in a scarlet light
all the food described in nina mingya powles’ tiny moons: a year of eating in shanghai essays
ok i’ll see u all again by summertime.
